Suits for Sons is designed to propel potential leaders into successful careers and service to the community. Involvement in the program requires both commitment and a substantial time contribution.

Program  participants  are  paired  with  a  mentor  from  their  career  of  interest.  Students  then  attend  nine  monthly  meetings  focused  on  (1)  Leadership,  (2)  Community  Responsibility,  (3)  Values  &  Goal  Setting,  (4)  Diversity  &  Inclusion,  (5)  Domestic  &  International  Business  Etiquette,  (6)  Conflict  Resolution,  (7)  Personal  Finance,  (8)  Giving  Effective  Presentations,  and  (9)  Networking,  Resume  Writing,  &  Interview  Preparation.  These  meetings  often  feature  guest  speakers  from  various  sectors  of  the  local  business  community.    In  addition  to  attending  monthly  meetings,  participants  are  also  responsible  for  completing  18  hours  of  personal  community  service  and  a  group  community  enrichment  project.  At  the  completion  of  the  Professional  Program,  participants  will  receive  a  tailored  suit  and  they  will  qualify  for  a  scholarship  to  help  them  continue  to  pursue  their  education.

Attendance at all program events is required. Additionally, all participants are expected to actively contribute in assigned team activities, planning committees, discussion groups, site visits, cultural events, and social activities. Multiple absences and/or a lack of engagement may be grounds for dismissal from the program.
